Viswa Virinchi Muppirala
PhD Candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle
My research is interdisciplinary, theoretical work centered on probability and optimization that touches information geometry, molecular computation, and submodular optimization. I work with Hong Qian and Jeff Bilmes. Earlier in my PhD I also worked on blockchain systems.
I’m in my final year and on the job market for quantitative, teaching, or postdoctoral roles.
I’ve also spent a good chunk of my time at UW as a teaching assistant. See my teaching page for the full list of courses, LinkedIn for my work experience, and Google Scholar for my publications.
